German-American guitarist Peter Knoll is a sought after guitar teacher with 30 plus years of experience and started his own guitar school GUITARCLASSES.NYC in January 2015. He offers lessons for children and adults of all levels and styles.

Amongst his students were the children of U2 guitarist “The Edge”, Diana Krall/Elvis Costello and the son of former Super Model Helena Christensen and "Walking Dead" actor Norman Reedus.

Cancellations or rescheduling of lessons have to be done 24 hours in advance in order to avoid full billing of the booked class.

 Lessons in a package format need be taken within a 12 month period. The period date starts with payment for the respective package.

Guitar lessons can be taught in either English or German. German lessons are available as per request.

LOOK NO FURTHER. Peter is the BEST teacher for Guitar and German language lessons you will find. My son has SPECIAL NEEDS which can make him very difficult to work with. I can’t imagine an instructor better suited to my child. Every week Peter and my daughter meet for their lesson and play a song they she loves. She started knowing nothing, but week by week he weaves in chords and fingerings and music theory in a way that she latches on and can play. To me it sounds like a jam session. He’s even gotten her interested in some of the classics from my generation! Peter’s style is so authentic and engaging and I attend just to hear them play. It’s so much fun!

Peter has been very kind, engaging and approachable. My daughter (5-6 yr old) enjoyed spending time in each class. She hadn't liked any musical/instrument classes before (we tried out a lot classes).
